To be fair, "Stormtroopers missing targets" is a kicking-a-dead-horse trope as well. Most of what AI generates is regurgitation in one form or another. Still, would be curious how far it's possible to take the premise using AI tools.
Yeah ChatGPT sometimes ends up overcomplicating stuff and I felt "Almost" was enough here. (It could've probably just been a no-words cartoon as well.)
Darn hard ass suit getting in the way. I can't catch the natural stroke of my body with this hard, unyielding thing on.
Classic Stormtrooper excuse!
Classic!
Good one today.
What happens when Storm Troopers try to kill Red Shirts from Star Trek?
Sounds like a project for another AI Jest!
Storm Troopers Miss—Redshirt dies anyway.
This should be an AI movie skit.
It's not original to me — it's kind of a pretty common joke among SF fans.
That doesn't mean it wouldn't make a funny skit, though….

This was the first AI cartoon I've actually thought was funny on purpose!
Was is random chance, or is the AI starting to develop a sense of humor?
Well, lately it ends up being an iterative process between me and ChatGPT.
The latest cartoons are all a result of me steering it a bit while trying to not directly tell it what to do.
For instance,I asked for movie-related cartoons, and its first suggestion for a cartoon was:
"A Stormtrooper at bat in a baseball game, with a pile of missed balls around him, and a frustrated pitcher in the background."
I asked if there are other funny scenarios we can put Stormtroopers in:
It came back with archery contest, paintball, darts in a pub, shooting gallery, and bowling.
I picked darts and asked for the first iterations of the cartoon.
And so on.
Went through several iterations of speech bubbles, but in the end I just gave it "Almost!" as I felt others were overengineered a bit.
"Almost!" works quite well.

Good one..Thanks Dan
It hit the mark today. But only figuratively.
Bahwaaaaa…!
