Would you say that if it becomes easier to prompt and get something useful, that would be main thing that entices you back here? Like, if it took around a quarter as much time to get something just as funny (or funnier), maybe?
Or is it more like the unknown unknowns, like I'll know it when I see it?
I actually had a pretty good daily routine going, so it's less about the speed and ease of use for me. I just stopped being surprised and wowed by AI output and found myself increasingly coming up with the ideas and punchlines on my own. Which is also fun, to be sure, but it's not what the premise was about.
So I'll have to wait and see if a model comes out that makes brainstorming jokes fun again!
I have my hands kinda full as is with the primary newsletter, freelance clients, and the kids' school, ice hockey, figure skating, tournaments, and other activities. I also recently got a 5-hour-per-week gig being a community ambassador for an AI-focused community.
So if I'm honest, it's nice to have one less thing to think about daily, even though it wasn't a major part of my day. I actually was close to stopping at the 365-day mark but decided to keep going. 500 is a nice round number.
But like I said, I don't want to abandon the project completely if I see something that energizes me to restart!
I'm certainly not going to try to talk you into doing more things with your time! You seem to have a ton of creative energy, and focusing it from time to time is important. You have a lot of outlets for that kind of activity, so I wouldn't mourn the loss of this daily practice. I imagine you'll still play with image generators on the regs for 10x AI and for your tangential businesses, but maybe one day you'll be as bad as I am at keeping track of the names of all the models!
